| ~ HELPING YOU ENJOY YOUR
SHORT BREAKS IN AND AROUND SIDMOUTH ~
Sidmouth
is steeped in history and charm, and to this end I have set
out below some useful information and links to help you while
on your Short Break
Jurassic Coast
The whole of the east Devon area falls within the Natural
World Heritage Site (since 2001), Sidmouth is well placed
as a base to explore this enchanting ancient coastal area.
World Heritage status places the area on a par with many world
class sites such as the Great Barrier Reef / Galapagos Islands
and the Grand Canyon. Bulverton House Short Breaks accommodation
is only one mile from the beach while also being one mile
from the main coastal road (A3052), a perfect setting for
your Short Break ~ http://www.jurassiccoast.com
Walks
In addition to this, there are a myriad of footpaths for the
keen walkers among you, both along the coastal route and through
the countryside. Bulverton House Short Breaks are based on
the rural edge of Sidmouth, a stones throw from many pathways
and intriguing areas ~ http://www.explorethesouthwestcoastpath.co.uk
Sidmouth
International Folk Festival
Sidmouth International Folk Festival, for so many years a
huge extravaganza is changing and will take place in a much
smaller format from 2005 onwards. Reverting to the smaller
festival of Sidmouths past will hopefully not diminish
the enjoyment of the many thousands of expected visitors for
the event. With the local camp sites (including the Bulverton
fields) open as usual.
Bulverton House Short Breaks accommodation is uniquely placed
to exploit this event located on the well trodden route (as
all you folk lovers will know) between Sidmouths Bulverton
camp site/marquee and the former Knowle Arena site.
A new web site is up and running keeping everyone informed
of the new events as announced: http://www.sidmouthfolkweek.co.uk

history of the site) / well worth a visit ~ http://www.ex.ac.uk/nlo/welcome.htm
