Named after R.W. SAMPSON who was responsible for most of the architectural layout of early 20th century Sidmouth, Sampson cottage was a former store and stables. The vaulted ceilings in the open plan living areas with the original steel beam help to form this dog-friendly modern, bright and stylishly furnished cottage.
Living – Modern, spacious and pleasingly decorated open plan living area with vaulted ceiling and ‘Amtico’ flooring, Dimplex Optiflame Electric Fire, fast WIFI Internet access, Blu-ray DVD player and 43″ Smart TV which can be swivelled for viewing from the sofa, dining table or tub chairs.
Dining – Modern touch glass table with oak legs, comfortably facilitates 6 for meals. There is also a small round side table with table lamp and 2 tub chairs for those wishing to read, relax or share stories.
Kitchen – Fully equipped high spec integrated full size kitchen units with dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas hob & oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, L’OR Barista coffee machine, milk frother, toaster, utensils, etc.

Sleeping – Bedroom One has a king-sized 1000 spring pocket memory foam layered hybrid mattress, Fogarty quilt & Dreamloft pillows offering a restful night’s sleep. On request, Bedroom Two with its zip-link bed king bed can be made up as a twin. Both bedrooms are fitted with a 22” TV, Velux Integra remote control roof windows with integrated blackout blind and rain sensor.
Bathroom – A Jasper Morrison designed suite: luxurious and spacious corner bath with hand shower mixer taps and wall mounted taps for ceiling mounted shower, heated towel rail, Amtico flooring and ceiling integrated DAB sound system. Velux Integra remote control roof window with integrated blackout blind and rain sensor.
Outside
Patio and Garden – French doors opening out onto Sampson’s own spaciously appointed private and enclosed pretty patio and garden with a patio table/parasol and 4 cushioned chairs. A cosy gazebo, garden lighting and exterior lighting create a beautiful and romantic ambience, making this space a pleasant relaxing addition to the accommodation. Gas BBQ is available upon request.
